 After listening to him back in the day, I knew we had a least one thing in common..the love of New Country music. After a phone call, we met in the Prohibition Room in the Pineapple Bank building at 23rd and Classen. I discovered that he had not only been in radio since he was 14 but that he loves to play Skee- Ball as much as I do! Over a few cold ones at his favorite hang out Chelino's, I explained to him what I was going to do with my new radio station. That it was not just not about NEW country but it was about the people who listen to it and what exactly they want to hear. I learned that he was involved once in 3 car accidents in one day without ANY beer involved..thus came the name CRASH. He has won CMA Awards for "Station of the Year" when he worked in Dallas...I knew then I had to have him in morning drive. I describe him to many as Speedy Gonzales after drinkin a Rock Star..
